I used to write code. Now I write the checklist that keeps a $2M catamaran and her guests safe in the BVI. I run S/V Celestine, a Voyage 590 catamaran, as Captain and owner-operator — crewed charters across the British and U.S. Virgin Islands. Before that, I captained S/V Rapscallion through the same waters. This past season alone: 15 charters, 88 days underway, 1,500nm, and 180 guests. The Silicon Valley instinct never left — I just pointed it at diesel engines, marine electronics, and regulatory compliance instead of code. Every system on board, from autopilot to watermaker, gets the same rigor I used to bring to production systems. I'm now looking to connect with owners and management companies operating larger vessels with 3+ crew — ready for the next chapter.
