A short overview of who does what in Palma, with criteria for quoting and avoiding surprises.
Palma packs nearly every critical service for 30-90 m yachts within a five-kilometre radius. STP, Astilleros de Mallorca, Marina Port de Mallorca and the Moll Vell gather shipyards, chandlers, provisioners, IT and agents.
For refit, STP and Astilleros are the two leading names. Both operate an annual slot calendar: booking November-March is done in April the previous year. Requesting a quote without a confirmed slot usually means an inflated price.
Provisioning: Mallorca Yachts, Mediterranean Provisioning and Monark cover the mid-high market. For shoreside fresh produce La Colmena is the reference; for alcohol, Macià Batle and Celler Roig accept duty-free invoicing with correct ship's papers.
IT and VSAT: OceanIT Palma and SeaNet are the two serious options. Ask for a written SLA with maximum in-port response time and after-hours urgent-call fees.
