Profile verification
Every certificate goes through manual review. Nothing is auto-approved. This is how we guarantee a quality catalog.
Why we verify every profile
The yachting sector runs on safety, valid paperwork and official training. A fake or expired STCW certificate can halt a charter, invalidate insurance or put crew and owner at risk. At GoMonkeyMate we believe trust cannot be delegated to an algorithm: each document we receive is reviewed by a human on the team, cross-checking issuing authority, license number, issue date and expiry. That process keeps our catalog populated with traceable, verifiable professionals, speeds up hiring for owners, captains and service companies, and reduces the legal and operational risk across the entire chain.
What exactly we check
We cross-check certificates against maritime authority records (MCA, USCG, DGMM and equivalents) when publicly available, validate the ENG1 with the examining physician, confirm that nautical qualifications carry original stamps and signatures, and ensure that professional references come from vessels and crews that actually exist. When a document shows inconsistencies we reach out to the professional to clarify before rejecting it. The goal is never to filter people out, but to make sure the verified badge means exactly that: paperwork reviewed one by one by a human on the GoMonkeyMate team.
